In an activity called Body Parts, Jessica and Ted Neal predict body parts measurements, measure them, and record their findings.

Carla gets a body part measurement.

"I’m forever blowing bubbles!" Here participants study the properties of bubbles while using science processes and investigative skills.

Participants inquire about the force of magnets, investigating iron filings patterns and making inferences about magnet shapes and relative strengths.

Dr. Harry discusses with participants the process skills inherent in the round-robin activities.

Here Jessica and Ted construct and test various electrical circuits, learning about electricity while making distinctions between observational investigations and experimental investigations.
Note: Lesson plans for several of the experiences included in the Pre-conference are available among the Lesson Example Models of this web site. Included are The Button Box, Simple Electrical Circuits, Blowing Bubbles, and Experimental Flight.
